Is HiBAR TSA-Compliant and safe for travel ?

We can save you the 5 minutes it would take to read this blog post and tell you that the short answer to this question is ‘yes’ absolutely our bars are fantastic for travel! For you knowledge seekers out there who want to know why — read on.

Not only will our shampoo bars and face wash bars make your suitcase lighter and more compact due to less packaging, but they are not liquid, so they are TSA-compliant. The TSA guidelines state that you cannot carry more than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters (a quart-sized bag) of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on bag. HiBAR shampoo, conditioner and face wash are solid, and DO NOT count toward this limit.

When traveling with your HiBAR, it’s important to store them properly and keep them as dry as possible. When you’re at your destination, that means keeping them high and dry (as you would in your own shower), ideally up on a flat surface above the stream of water from the shower head. Our bars are designed to stand upright so that they can shed residual water. They will quickly dry out in between uses. While you’re on the move, any container that keeps them protected and dry will do. We have our own lightweight travel pouches that keep your bars snug and dry and protect them from the elements. They're made with a terry cloth liner to dry them in between uses. When you return from your trip, before your post-vacation blues set in, turn the pouch inside out and you can rinse it clean and dry it for your fabulous next trip.

Shampoo and conditioner bars (as well as face wash bars) are a great choice for travelers who want to simplify their packing, not to mention reduce waste, and be eco-friendly on the go. With their lightweight, versatile, and TSA-compliant design, they're an excellent alternative to traditional liquid shampoo.

Happy travels!
