Neroli smells so good!

I’ve used Hibar deodorant for years now—I wanted to try a new scent so I ordered the neroli version—I know smell is subjective but it smells SO good!! I’d definitely classify it as a more feminine/floral smell. It works well. I don’t suffer from any issues with the baking soda versions that HiBar offers, so I really was trying this simply for a new smell rather than skin sensitivities. I am very sensitive to perfume smells and find none of the hibar products smell perfumey and instead are all pleasantly floral or natural smelling. I usually apply twice a day while my less stinky spouse only needs it once.

great deodorant for chemically sensitive

This deodorant is the best I've found. Zero scent, no visible residue left on my skin, not sticky, and it works really well. AND all natural, even healthy, ingredients. As well as ZERO-WASTE packaging. THANK YOU HiBAR. Highly recommend.

First natural deodorant that’s ever worked for me

I’ve never ever been able to use any “natural” deodorant until trying the baking soda free version from Hibar! Apparently the baking soda is the problem for me - I’m now on my 3rd refill and have a 4th on deck, and it works as well for me as the Dove I used to use religiously. I wear a lot of handknit sweaters and natural fiber shirts/dresses, and the non-aluminum deodorant is better for them too. Win-win!

Good for sensitive skin

I was really happy to find a plastic-free deodorant that did not irritate my skin. I haven't tried the unscented, but I love the aloe and sea moss scent and the iris and neroli is also nice. I do start to smell my sweat when I am wearing this for a long time or sweating hard, but I have never found a natural deodorant where that isn't the case.

  • Q: Why isn't this natural deodorant working?  

    For some people, when trying a natural deodorant for the first time there can be an initial detoxing phase while the body expels toxins as it becomes accustomed to the aluminum-free, paraben-free ingredients. Additionally, body chemistry can play a big role in whether a natural deodorant is effective. For some people, certain scents work, while others don’t. We would recommend sticking with it but trying a different fragrance. Please feel free to reach out to customer service for more information.

  • Q: Does your aluminum free deodorant contain baking soda?

    Yes, but the baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is less than 5% of the entire formulation. We are also working hard at making a baking soda free version! Stay tuned further into 2023!

  • Q: Is ALL HiBAR packaging recyclable?

    Yes. In fact it's compostable as well. And we use plant-based inks. Our shipping materials are also either compostable, recyclable or biodegradable, including any packing tape or product protection. If it arrived in plastic, it did not come from us!

  • Q: Is HiBAR compostable?

    Our plastic free deodorant container is made from cardboard and is curbside compostable. They do compost and can be done at home, just like regular compost. But, if you are using the compost dirt to grow food, it’s probably best to use compost material like food scraps and other food grade, food by product material. You can compost our packaging to turn it back to the earth and use it as a filler somewhere.
