Note: I do have very hard water, so it probably skews the actual performance of these shampoo bars.
Update on this review: I reached out to the company about palm oil being in their ingredients, and they were not only forthcoming, but also stated they were actively investigating and working towards eliminating palm oil from the ingredients as provided from their suppliers. For now, this was the company’s statement: “Our bars are not made directly with palm oil or palm oil derivatives, however, some of our ingredients may periodically contain palm oil derivatives.”
This was the winner among all the bars I tried. I really liked the citrusy smell of the shampoo bar, though, and it stayed on my hair during a full and active day/schedule. (Sometimes with the other bars, they would smell really pleasant, but the scent would fade pretty fast, leaving hair kinda stinky by day's end.) It's the one shampoo bar that worked well with my tangle/mat-prone hair, and didn't leave behind that strange gunky/rubbery feeling on my hair. It felt most like a bottle shampoo. However, it unfortunately didn't have the same itch-reduction/cleansing feeling as some of the other shampoo bars I tried, but I'd rather have that drawback then trying to untangle or cut out huge hunks of matted hair at the end of the day. The shampoo bar also has a shape that's easier to use on hair...it's like a teardrop but with an angle. I'm kinda clumsy, so this felt…
